The stories of three unique families who lived in Brown County at different times provides insight into the lives of Jews in small town Minnesota. None of these stories start in Brown County, and the forces that spurred their immigration was the beginning of their journey to become an integral part of the community. Each faced the challenge of adapting to a new language and culture while seeking acceptance in towns with homogeneous populations.
